Rules and regulations

These are the rules that will be enforced strictly, please read over them and understand them.


*The lines will be posted overnight and will remain the same for that day.

*You may play up to 3 games per day.

*You may post your card up to the time of the scheduled posted start, of the earliest game you select that day.

If the post is late and one or more games has started those games will not count. example; if Balto is scheduled to start at 7:35 and you post at 7:36 that game will not be counted, the rest of the games will count as long as they were posted before the sheduled posted start time.

*You will only be allowed one post per day, if there is a second post those plays will not be counted....if you make a mistake and need a correction contact a mod preferably myself Journeyman@therx.com or Wilheim@therx.com the time of the email will count in any discrepancy.

*Sides and totals only.

*All games will be graded listed pitchers only...if there is a pitching change the play does not count, same for totals, both pitchers must start for a total play to count.

*All games will be based on one unit; Example- NYY -140 vs Boston +130, if you select NYY you are risking -140 to win 100....If you selected Boston you would be risking 100 to win +130.

*There is no set limit to the amount of plays you can make for the entire season (up to 3 plays per day)

* If you make a selection with the wrong line , IT COUNTS AS NO PLAY.

* Thursdays will be an off day for the contest.

* You must select a minimum of 220 plays for the year to qualify for the year end prize money.

* The lines will be posted overnight in one thread in this forum, all selections will be made in the daily thread, any selections made out of the daily thread will not count.

* The monthly prize , a $500.00 Bet Jamaica 'betting account' will be given to the monthly unit leader. You must make a minimum of 45 plays during that month to be eligible for the monthly prize...the is a 6 time rollover on the monthly betting account....to receive the full $500 you must have an active betting account at Bet Jamaica (one $5 bet in that month)

2) what about a 'mistaken line'? will they stand as in the NHL contest this year?

3) If there is a pitcher change will there be a new line put up? or is that game officially OTB?

if the is an obvious bad line the play won't count.

pitching change rule is covered, any pitching change, the game is OTB

what if there is an error when someone transcribes these lines?

Hard to agree what's obviously a bad line, many book disputes about just that.

Doug , I will be transferring the lines, if I may an obvious error, it will have to be blatant for it not to count.

I'm not talking about 20 cents

What is the breakout for year-end prizes? Does last place get a %? I know their was a talk about last place in NFL for next year.

Great idea SCNIT. I can see where a guy who is in 18th place and no longer participates. I can see where if you have a reward for last even the ones at the bottom of the totem pole will stay interested. Great idea.

I'm not sure if I missed something, is there an entry fee?

I saw in one post where somebody was told they would have to post up
$ 300. If that is true, what are the year-end prizes.

maybe this was all explained somewhere, I just can't find it.

You have until April 16th to post up $300.00 at BetJamaica to enter this, the prize money breakdown has not been figured yet because I don't know how many we will finish up with.

Also BetJamaica kicked in an additional 20% to the pot.

Jman, we need to clarify what happens when someone makes a transcribing mistake is it an immediate NO ACTION like the NBA & the NHL contests? I bring it up because it happened here. but there was no rule in place, it didnt matter because it was a rain out game, but for future reference it should be outlined.....

original rules are posted here with $500 monthly prize, i emailed you and hector the same information, can i get some type of clarification if this has changed? i did receiev $500 for May and have not seen any reduction in the monthly prize
